The Importance of a Home Inspection
The Importance of a Home Inspection
Johnny Dill - Home Inspector #1431

Buying a home is one of life’s most expensive investments, so you need to make sure you know exactly what you are getting before you sign on the dotted line. That is why a home inspection is one of the most crucial steps in the home buying process.

Only use a certified home inspector, such as Home Inspection of Arkansas, LLC.  It is a certified home inspector’s job to “look under the hood” and make sure everything meets or exceeds current regulatory and safety standards.

A basic home inspection consists of checking the structure, exterior, roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, interior, insulation and ventilation for quality and safety. Home inspections are also a great learning opportunity, and we recommend you be present during the inspection.

Home inspections are not just for buyers. Sellers may also opt to have their home pre-inspected before a property is put on the market. Doing so allows sellers to obtain a pre-inspection report which goes a long way in making buyers comfortable with the quality of a home.

Once finished, the inspector will provide a complete report of their findings, potentially illuminating costly repairs. It is important to note that inspectors do not make repairs. In the event of substantial repairs, buyer's can use the report to negotiate repair costs.
